Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice' to Screen at UW-Eau Claire Oct. 27-30

RELEASED: Oct. 17, 2005

"Beetlejuice" posterEAU CLAIRE — Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice" (1988) will screen at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 27-30, in Davies Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

A ghostly couple (Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin) has to do something when an obnoxious family moves into their New England home. When their own scare tactics only entertain the new owners, they decide to hire "the world's leading bio-exorcist," Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), to rid them of their human pests. But that choice leads to an even bigger problem — how do you exorcise an exorcist?

The 92-minute film is rated PG.

Admission is $2 for International Film Society members and UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff and $1 for UW-Eau Claire students. Tickets are available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, in Davies Center's east lobby, and will be sold at the door.

The film is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
