'Explore Your Possibilities Week' to Offer More Than 40 Sessions

Possibility PeteEAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students still uncertain about their majors or interested in exploring other career paths or opportunities will have more than 40 informational sessions to choose from during "Explore Your Possibilities Week," presented by Career Services Oct. 17-21.

Students can learn about everything from what kinds of jobs are available to those in various majors, to how to join the Peace Corps or study abroad, to how to write a winning resume and secure an internship. A complete schedule and list of sessions, presented by UW-Eau Claire faculty and professional staff, alumni, and employers, is available at the Career Services Web site. Pre-registration is encouraged. Sessions will take place Monday through Wednesday in Davies Center. On Thursday and Friday, Career Services, Schofield 230, will hold an Open House.

Refreshments such as mini donuts, mini bagels, subs, mini taco bar, quesadillas, fajitas, pasta, chips, dips, cheese and crackers, and cookies will be served at the sessions.

Students will receive one raffle ticket for each presentation they attend, or two for each session if they pre-register. The drawings will be held in Career Services on Oct. 21. Students do not need to be present to win. Prizes include a $50 prize from Wal-Mart, gift certificates for pizzas, subs, restaurants, tanning and much more!

Major sponsors of "Explore Your Possibilities Week" include Target, American Family Insurance, Cintas, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Federated Insurance, Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Northwestern Mutual, SBC, St. Paul Travelers, and Xcel Energy.
