Free 'Exploring Health Careers' Workshop to be Offered at Eau Claire County Job Center

RELEASED: Nov. 29, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — A free "Exploring Health Careers" Workshop for anyone considering a return to school or a career change will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Eau Claire County Job Center, 221 W. Madison St., Eau Claire. Participants should report to the Resource Room prior to the workshop.

The following topics will be discussed:

  • What are the hot careers in the health field?
  • What careers match my personality type?
  • What are typical duties of certain jobs?
  • Where can I find a training program?
  • Are there waiting lists for the training?

The workshop is being presented by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Educational Opportunity Center, which is funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Education.

The workshop is free, but participants must register in advance. Call (800) 335-3113 to reserve a spot.
