13th Bi-Annual Human Diversity Expo to Be Held
Nov. 17 in Davies Center

EAU CLAIRE — Education and social work students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will share results of their diversity research projects during the 13th Bi-Annual Human Diversity Expo on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The Expo, which will run from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center, will feature projects designed by 180 students currently enrolled in "Social Foundations of Human Relations" courses and the "Ethnic-sensitive Social Work Practice" course. The event has been held each semester since the fall of 1998.

The expo will feature inquiry projects, video documentaries and cases studies on topics of cultural diversity. Examples of research topics to be displayed include case studies of middle and high school students, opportunities for deaf youth, the GLBT community in the Chippewa Valley, old order Mennonites, Somalis in America, a look at the African American way of life; and many more.
