Musical Events for the Week of Nov. 21

RELEASED: Nov. 14, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Nov. 21. All events are free and open to the public.

Monday, Nov. 21:

  • Senior Kyle Peterson, Madison, will present a euphonium recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Peterson will open with "Morceau Symphonique" by Alexandre Guilmant, followed by David Gillingham's "Blue Lake Fantasies." Peterson also will present "Night Song" by Neal Corwell. He will close with Joseph De Luca's "Beautiful Colorado."

Tuesday, Nov. 22:

  • Senior Jessica Johnston, Chippewa Falls, and junior David Billingsley, Racine, will present a piano recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall. The recital will include performances of works by Debussy, Chopin and Beethoven. Billingsley will close the concert with "In the Bottoms" by R. Nathaniel Dett.
