UW-Eau Claire to Offer Workshops for Supervisory Management Program

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will present several workshops from the Supervisory Management Certificate program in December. Designed for managers, supervisors and small business owners, the workshops may be taken individually or as part of the certificate program requirements. The Supervisory Management Certificate program is cosponsored by the Small Business Development Center, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse and UW-Extension.

  • "Supervisory Management 1" will be held Dec.1-2 in Eau Claire at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Topics include the supervisory aspect of management, selecting your leadership style, motivating employee performance, and discipline and work rules.
  • "Supervisory Management 2" will be held Dec. 6-7 at the Cleary Alumni and Friends Center on the UW-La Crosse campus. Topics include establishing orientation policies and procedures, understanding communication behaviors, time management, delegating, and developing your employees.
  • "Supervisory Management 3" will be held Dec. 8-9 in Eau Claire at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Topics include working towards more effective coaching, establishing job expectations, and critical skills in the coaching process.

All workshops meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual course fees are $425 per person and include lunch, breaks, materials and instruction. Group fee is $375 per person for three to five people from the same firm attending the same session and registering at the same time. Series fee is $1,125 per individual registering for Supervisory Management 1, 2, and 3 at the same time.
