Free Health Careers and Financial Aid Workshop to be Held in Menomonie
RELEASED: Nov. 1, 2005
EAU CLAIRE — A free Health Careers and Financial Aid for School Workshop for anyone considering a return to school or a career change will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Dunn County Job Center, 401 Technology Drive East, Suite 200, in Menomonie.
The following topics will be discussed:
- What are the hot careers in the health field?
- What are typical duties of certain jobs?
- Where can I find a training program?
- What is financial aid, and am I eligible?
- How and when do I apply?
- What if I have defaulted on a student loan?
Free child care is available. Call (715) 232-7380 to reserve a spot.
The workshop is being presented by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Educational Opportunity Center, which is funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Education.
