Singing Statesmen to Present Fall Concert
at UW-Eau Claire

Singing Statesmen logoEAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Singing Statesmen will present their fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The Singing Statesmen, under the direction of Gary Schwartzhoff, professor of music, will open the performance with "Behold Man" by Ronald Nelson. The first set of selections also will include Randall Thompson's "Alleluia" and Franz Biebl's "Ave Maria."

The second half of the concert will be opened by The Innocent Men, a male a cappella group selected out of the Statesmen. They will perform "Through with You," "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay" and "Wordplay."

The rest of the choir will return to the stage to close with a few final selections, including "She Moved Through the Fair," arranged by Timothy Takach, and Peter Allen's "I Go to Rio," as arranged by Steve Howe. They will conclude with "Songs of the University."

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or (800) 949-UWEC, are $5 for the general public; $4 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.50 for students with a university ID. Seating is reserved. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
