Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society Recognizes Members with Awards

Alpha Lambda Delta CrestEAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society presented awards to a number of its members during the recent Honors Week celebration at UW-Eau Claire.

Steven Kerbaugh, Onalaska, received the Alpha Lambda Delta Book Award, presented to the chapter member with the highest cumulative grade point average of the graduating seniors.

Todd Dennis, Eleva, Kristina Hesse, Cologne, Minn., and Cassandra Lawler, Mazomanie, each received local Alpha Lambda Delta Joanne Trow Undergraduate Scholarships, presented to members who represent the society's ideals of scholarship, service and integrity. Dennis and Lawler have had their applications forwarded to the Alpha Lambda Delta national Trow scholarship competition.

Alpha Lambda Delta, founded at the University of Illinois in 1924, is a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first-year students. There are currently more than 245 chapters throughout the United States. The society offers more than $120,000 each year in scholarships and fellowships to its members.
