Two A Cappella Groups to Perform at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The Innocent Men and Impromptu, two a cappella groups from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, in Schofield Auditorium of Schofield Hall. Both groups will be presenting two sets of music in the concert.

Members of the all male a cappella group from The Singing Statesmen, The Innocent Men are sophomore Samuel Nulton, Appleton; sophomore Ryan Summers, Waukesha; freshman Isaias Acosta, Altoona; senior Paul Nikstad, Wausau; freshman Reid Larsen, Waconia, Minn.; sophomore Jeffrey Parks, Appleton; and sophomore Adam Rubach, Waterford.

The Innocent men will perform a wide variety of songs set to a cappella arrangements, including "All at Sea" by Jamie Cullum, "Interstate Love Song" by Stone Temple Pilots and Billy Joel's "The Longest Time."

Members of Impromptu, a mixed voice a cappella ensemble from the UW-Eau Claire Concert Choir, will also present favorite songs from a variety of decades and genres. The group consists of senior Tamra Wickesberg, Shawano; senior Tyler Moen, Colfax; senior Anna Nummelin, Stevens Point; junior Marilyn Spiess, Waconia, Minn.; junior Mark Lundin, Blaine, Minn.; and junior C. Max Athorn, Minneapolis, Minn.

Impromptu will perform songs such as "On Broadway," "God Only Knows" by Brian Wilson, and Paul Simon's "Late in the Evening."
