EAU CLAIRE — The Mid American Regional Championship of the National Club Baseball Association will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Carson Park in Eau Claire. The championship will be determined by the best two of three games, so if a third play-off game is necessary, it will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8.
The UW-Eau Claire Club Baseball team will defend its championship title against the Cornhuskers from Nebraska in hopes of returning to the World Series of National Club Baseball May 25-30 in Bradenton, Fla.
Head coach and president of UW-Eau Claire Club Baseball Kyle Buchmann led his team to the regional championship and on to the World Series last year. He said he thinks the team has a good chance to go to the World Series again.
All baseball fans are invited to come and help cheer the Blugolds to victory.
