The following events planned this week at UW-Eau Claire may provide story or photo opportunities for the local media:

The first Latina/Latino Open House is slated for 4-6 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 2) in the Tamarack Room of Davies Center. The event will include food, music and conversation with Latina/Latino students. An event titled "Jumpstart for a Day" is slated for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. Parents and children ages 3-6 have been invited to share an afternoon of literacy activities. Rob Reid, author of the children's book "Wave Goodbye," will talk with the group at 2 p.m.
