UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education to Offer
Spanish for Business and Travel

RELEASED: March 1, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will offer beginning Spanish for business and travel on Monday and Wednesday evenings, April 4 through May 25. Classes will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Continuing Education Office, 210 Water Street in Eau Claire. Pronunciation tips, basic grammar, useful one liners, "must know”"words, greetings, courtesies and nonverbal communication will be covered.

Instructor Dale Omtvedt Gable teaches Spanish and English as a Second Language at UW-Eau Claire and has traveled extensively in Mexico, Columbia, Central America and Spain.

The course fee is $225 per person and includes instruction, materials, and some cultural experiences. The textbook is not included; "Spanish for Gringos," 2nd edition by William C. Harvey, is approximately $20 and can be purchased online or through a local bookstore.
