SUBJECT: News Conference Announcing Initiative to Reduce High-Risk Drinking
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has received a major grant from the U.S. Department of Education to launch a comprehensive program aimed at reducing rates of drinking among first-year students.
The program will involve collaboration among the university, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, law enforcement, alcohol distributors, parents and students.
Specifics of the program will be announced at a news conference at UW-Eau Claire on Monday, June 20, at 11 a.m. in Davies Theatre, Davies Center.
