EAU CLAIRE — A free outdoor family show by Dennis Warner will highlight the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Summer Session Programs for the week of June 27.
His concert will begin at 7 p.m. Monday on the Central Campus Mall. Refreshments will be sold. Audience members are invited to bring blankets or folding chairs for lawn seating.
Blending acoustic folk-country music and humor, Warner presents upbeat, up-tempo kids and family concerts popular in well over 100 cities each year — from small village gatherings in Alaska to huge auditoriums in Florida. His credits include featured spots on NPR's "Great Acoustics Live!" and "River City Folk," and an invitation to perform at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Honored three times as a finalist in the Emerging Songwriters Showcase at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Warner has often appeared at The Bluebird Cafe, the Nashville club known for discovering new and exciting songwriters.
Also on campus during the week of June 27 are these free Summer Session Programs:
Summer Session Programs continue through Aug. 4. A complete schedule is available from the Activities and Programs office, Davies Center 133, (715) 836-4833, or on the Web.
