Blues Artist Keith Scott to Give Summer Session Concert

Keith ScottEAU CLAIRE — Chicago-area blues artist Keith Scott will present a free outdoor concert at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Monday, July 18. The singer-songwriter will begin his show at 7 p.m. on the Central Campus Mall. Refreshments will be sold. Audience members are invited to bring blankets or folding chairs for lawn seating.

Over the past 20 years Scott has built a reputation as a sizzling blues guitarist, dynamic performer, noteworthy songwriter and bandleader. He has toured throughout the United States and Europe, both with his band and blues great Jimmy Dawkins.

A favorite on the college circuit, Scott travels throughout the Midwest to rave reviews. He has performed at the Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues and the Chicago Blues Fest.

"The Ring" (2002) will continue a summer festival of horror films, screening Monday-Thursday, July 18-21, at 7 p.m. in Davies Theatre. Naomi Watts stars as a young journalist who investigates a mysterious videotape that dooms anyone who watches it to die in seven days. Gore Verbinski's 115-minute film is rated R.
