RELEASED: Feb. 16, 2005
EAU CLAIRE — Did you know that Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, John Steinbeck, Ralph Nader, Elizabeth Taylor and Joanne Woodward were all born on Feb. 27? Or that four presidents and three vice presidents were born in the month of February?
This month the McIntyre Library celebrates authors and celebrities who were born in the month of February. The Grand Corridor of the library will be filled with books by James Joyce, Judy Blume, Charles Dickens, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Sinclair Lewis, Jules Verne, Carson McCullers, Gertrude Stein and many more. A calendar displays the famous birthdays.
The "Celebrating February Birthdays" exhibit will run until Feb. 28 and is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public during regular McIntyre Library hours.
