Registration Opens for April Conference
on Adolescents and Families

EAU CLAIRE — Registration has begun for the 17th Annual Adolescents and Families Conference to be held at the Lakewoods Resort in Cable. The conference will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, and adjourn at noon Friday, April 22.

The conference features two keynote speakers and a variety of topics related to engaging youth, families, schools and communities in positive behavior and interactions. Tom Kidd, a professional motivational and educational speaker, will open the conference with "Empowering Youth, Families, and Professionals for Effective Prevention." James W. Anderson will close the conference with "Living Life Out Loud: The Element that Will Change Communities."

The conference is designed for educators, social workers, school and community counselors, mental health and other health care professionals, resource officers, youth workers, substance abuse counselors, community resource coordinators, domestic abuse advocates, law enforcement personnel, and others interested in positive youth development.

The conference fee is $175 and includes instruction; materials; 1.3 CEUs for participants who attend the entire conference; Wednesday dinner; Thursday breakfast and lunch; Friday breakfast; and all refreshment breaks. The registration deadline is April 1; registrations received after this date will be accepted on a space available basis. Early registration is encouraged.
