UW-Eau Claire Hires Budget Officer

RELEASED: Feb. 7, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — Stephanie Jamelske has been named budget officer for Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Provost and Vice Chancellor Ronald Satz announced today.

The appointment is effective Feb. 17. Jamelske — a financial specialist for UW-Eau Claire's Continuing Education office — will replace Robert Bolles, who left UW-Eau Claire in January. As budget officer for Academic Affairs, Jamelske will report directly to Satz.

Jamelske earned her bachelor's degree in history from Sonoma State University in California and her master's degree in public policy and administration from California State University.

Prior to moving to Eau Claire, Jamelske was an associate budget analyst for the state of California's department of social services in Sacramento.

"Stephanie's extensive budgeting experience in a complex government organization in California and her outstanding work in Continuing Education make her an excellent choice for this position," Satz said. "Her knowledge of UW-Eau Claire's programs and people will be extremely helpful as she moves into the budget officer position."

The budget officer's responsibilities include monitoring all Academic Affairs budgets, coordinating the Redbook budget for Academic Affairs, tracking all full-time employees in Academic Affairs, maintaining records of Blugold Fellows, tracking differential tuition expenditures, overseeing Academic Affairs federal work-study and nonfederal budgets and reports, and serves as a resource for fiscal policies and procedures.
