Area Businesses and Organizations Invited to Connect with UW-Eau Claire Students

RELEASED: Aug. 10, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — Community businesses, city departments and area organizations will introduce themselves to the students of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at the third annual Campus Community Connection, to be held Wednesday, Sept. 7. The showcase of city resources, services and retailers will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Central Campus Mall (rain site Zorn Arena).

Campus Community Connection is a retail and services fair hosted by the university to help students connect to the Eau Claire area. Its objective is to introduce the student body to the local business community and the products and services available to students; to help city departments and neighborhood associations communicate with students; and to give area retailers an opportunity to connect with the student consumer.

Area retailers, service organizations, neighborhood associations and city departments are invited to distribute information and promote their services and products to students at the event. A nominal table rental fee is charged; the fee is waived for nonprofit organizations. Those that are interested in participating or wish to be added to the CCC mailing list should contact the Activities and Programs office, (715) 836-4833, by Sept. 6.
