EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Hmong Student Association is sponsoring a Hmong Culture Fest, "Voices of Hope Charity Show," from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.
Highlights of the event include a comedy play performance written by past HSA members and performed by current UW-Eau Claire students; traditional and modern Hmong musical entertainment; a poetry slam; and a presentation on "Lost Hmong in Laos" by presenters from Hmoob Hlub Hmoob (Humanity Helping Humanity or H3) a student-driven organization focused on bringing knowledge to the world about the atrocities happening in Laos today.
Admission for the event is $3 for adults and children are free. Refreshments will be served.
All proceeds go to H3. Further information regarding the Hmong in Laos can be found online.
