EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will display their student and faculty collaborative research and independent student research at the 13th annual Student Research Day April 25-26.

Student research posters will be on display from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, April 25, and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 26, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center

The event, sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, will highlight student research accomplishments and the important role faculty and academic staff play as mentors in the scholarly activity process. The diverse nature of research being conducted on campus may be viewed through 193 research poster exhibits included in this year's Student Research Day.

A seven-member faculty judging panel from Brigham Young University, Carthage College, Grand Valley State University, Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation, University of Minnesota-Duluth, University of Nebraska at Kearney and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will select posters for special recognition in the categories of arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, business and professional studies, natural and physical sciences, and graduate entries.

The entire university community is encouraged to view this exhibit and meet with the student researchers, who will be available to discuss their posters during the Monday afternoon session. The public is also invited to this free event.

For more information, contact Dr. Christopher Lind, assistant vice chancellor and director of the Center of Excellence for Faculty/Student Research Collaboration, at (715) 836-3405.
