Community-Based Services Training Offered for Health and Human Services Professionals

EAU CLAIRE — Three professional development topics critical to human services and health care professionals will be addressed in programs presented by the Community-Based Services Training Partnership in May and June.

  • "Ethics and Boundaries" — taught by Norm Brickl, will be held May 5 in Hayward at the Hayward Inn and Suites; June 21 at Stoney Creek Inn in Wausau/Mosinee; and June 28 at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Green Bay. The program is designed for social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, human resource personnel, and administrators. Each program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants earn .6 CEUs (six instructional hours).
  • "Tardive Dyskinesia Assessment and Monitoring" — taught by John E. Kalachnik, will be held May 20 at the Plaza Hotel and Suites in Eau Claire. The program is designed for registered and licensed practical nurses, psychologists, social workers and administrators. The program runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants earn .6 CEUs (six instructional hours) or 7.5 nursing contact hours.
  • "Psychotropic Medications and the Adult Client" — taught by Mary Ellen Stolder, will be held June 15 at the Plaza Hotel and Suites in Eau Claire and June 17 at the Holiday Acres Resort in Rhinelander. The program is designed for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, psychologists, social workers, administrators, educators and health care professional staff who work with clients in a variety of health care settings. Each program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants earn .5 CEUs (five instructional hours) or 6.6 nursing contact hours.
