Summer Dance and Movement Offered

by UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education

RELEASED: April 11, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will offer two summer dance programs. Both programs will be held on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

Three levels of classical ballet will be held each weekday, July 5-15, with a performance on July 16.

  • "Beginning Ballet" (recommended for all athletes) — 6-7 p.m.
  • "Intermediate Ballet" — 10 a.m.-noon.
  • "Advanced Ballet" — 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The course fee for "Beginning Ballet" is $90; the intermediate and advanced courses are $180.

"Body Mapping" will be held June 27-28 from 9 a.m.-noon, followed by "Developmental Movement" from 1:30-3 p.m. These movement courses are of interest to all teachers and performers — anyone who works with and uses movement. The cost for both programs is $150; there is a one undergraduate or one graduate credit option available. "Developmental Movement" only is $75.
