Celebration of Two Traditions![]()
MAILED: Nov. 26, 2002
EAU CLAIRE — The Eau Claire Jewish and Muslim communities invite everyone to eat, sing, celebrate and experience their two traditions at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Once every thirty years or so, Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, and Ramadan, the Muslim observance of the month of fasting, fall at the same time in the calendar year. Together, the Eau Claire Jewish and Muslim communities wish to share their observance of these events with the whole campus from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Menominee and Ojibwa Rooms of Davies Center.
The event, which is free and open to all, is sponsored by the Jewish Student Association, Islamic Center and Mosque, Temple Sholom, UW-Eau Claire Activities and Program Office, Center for International Education, and the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
