Public Hearing on Revisions to
Select Mission Statement

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will conduct a public hearing on revisions to the university’s Select Mission Statement at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Eagle Room of Davies Center. Chancellor Donald Mash and UW System Regent Toby Marcovich will hear testimony from interested parties.
         The proposed revisions involve changes in wording to the Select Mission Statement, including a commitment to a liberal arts based education, which already have been reviewed and approved by the university’s Planning Committee and University Senate. The changes also had a first reading before the UW System Board of Regents in May.
         Copies of the current and revised Select Mission Statements are available through Kay Magadance, Institutional Planning, Old Library 1115, at 836-5368.
