MAILED: Oct. 8, 2002
EAU CLAIRE — To celebrate Archives Week in Wisconsin, Oct. 20-26, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will take a look at the war experiences of Wisconsinites.
Visual materials archivists David Benjamin and Matthew Mason of the Wisconsin Historical Society will give a presentation on the Archives Week theme of “Wisconsin in Wartime” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in McIntyre Library, Room L2023A.
The presentation is an exploration of vivid imagery from the Historical Society’s photograph, poster and film collections. The selected images will show how men, women and children of Wisconsin experienced the battlefields and home fronts of conflicts from the 18th to the 21st century.
There is no admission fee and the public is encouraged to attend. U.S. Service Veterans and their families may be especially interested and are invited to this presentation.
McIntyre Library, Special Collections and the Wisconsin Historical Society are sponsoring the Archives Week presentation.
