October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Two UW-Eau Claire nursing professors continue to conduct research on women with breast cancer, with much of their work focusing on breast cancer intervention. Dr. Susan Moch and Dr. Kathy Anderson are involved in breast-cancer intervention research projects, including a study that looks at the roles of spouses and families as it relates to intervention. A 1995 book written by Moch about women surviving breast cancer is being translated into Japanese for sale in Japan. Moch and Anderson are available to talk with the media about their research — past and present — with breast cancer-related issues. You can reach Moch at (715) 836-4889 or, and you can reach Anderson at (715) 836-4870 or
