Austrian Business Leader
To Speak at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — Dr. Heinz K. Seitinger, an adviser to the chief executive officer of the Austrian Business Agency in Vienna, will discuss international business opportunities in Eastern Europe during an International Roundtable presentation Sept. 19 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The presentation, titled “Emerging Markets of Eastern Europe and Their Future,” will run from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Room 100 of Schneider Hall. The free event is open to the public.
Prior to his present position with the Austrian Business Agency, Seitinger served as the Austrian trade commissioner in the United States-Midwest office in Chicago. He has held similar positions in New Orleans, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., as well as in Pakistan, Sudan, Singapore, Zaire and Australia.
Seitinger holds both a doctor of law degree and a doctor of political science degree from Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria, as well as a master of art degree in economics from the University of Toronto.
Seitinger became familiar with UW-Eau Claire when he represented Austria at UW-Eau Claire’s Viennese Ball from 1982-88.
