EAU CLAIRE — The Established and Emerging Leaders Seminars, running Sept. 17 to Dec. 10 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, provide students with an opportunity to develop and strengthen their leadership skills.
Each seminar program helps students grow as individuals and as a group. The sessions involve lecture, discussion and activities.
The Emerging Leaders Seminar will meet on four Tuesdays (Sept. 17, Oct. 1, Nov. 5 and Dec.3) from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Davies Center. Session topics include team building, stress management, leadership and team development, and public speaking.
The Established Leaders Seminar, for students who want to enhance their leadership skills, will meet on four Tuesdays (Sept. 24, Oct. 15, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Davies Center. Session topics include team building, leadership and conflict management, personal mission statements and goal setting, and international leadership.
Enrollment is open to all UW-Eau Claire students and is limited to 25 people per program. Applications are available at the Student Organizations Complex, Davies Center 132, and should be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. A $10 fee to cover the cost of resources is payable upon acceptance to the program.
The Established and Emerging Leaders Seminars are presented by the Activities and Programs office.
