UW-Eau Claire Students to
Participate in Program
Promoting Donation of Household Items

EAU CLAIRE — University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire students are again being encouraged to donate clothes,
household items and usable furniture when they move from their off-campus
houses later this month.
The second annual "Don't Dump
It/Donate It" program is slated for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, May 17, and 9
a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 25.
Students are again encouraged to bring
items to donate to UW-Eau Claire's Water Street parking lot on the corner of
Second Avenue and Water Street. In addition to household and clothing items,
students can donate non-perishable and unopened boxed or canned food, which
will be given to local food pantries.
The program is a cooperative effort of the
UW-Eau Claire Student Environmental Health Association, the Eau Claire
City-County Health Department, the City of Eau Claire, the UW-Eau Claire
Parking and Transportation Services Office, Goodwill industries, UW-Eau
Claire Student Senate, Chippewa Valley Apartment Association, Northern
Thunder, the Third Ward Neighborhood Association and the Historic Randall
Park Neighborhood Association.
If students have items to donate but
cannot participate on the designated days, they can contact one of the
following organizations:

For students who have unwanted items that are not in good enough condition
to donate, there will be daily curbside garbage pick up May 17-May 25
(except Sunday, May 19) in two areas with significant student populations.
