Alumni Association to Honor
Outstanding Students May 8

         EAU CLAIRE  The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association will honor outstanding students and scholarship recipients at a special award luncheon Wednesday, May 8. The luncheon is open to everyone and will begin at noon in the Tamarack Room, Davies Center.
         Kristi M. Jochimsen, a management information systems graduate from Stetsonville, will receive the Adult Opportunities Outstanding Student Award.
         The American Ethnic Coordinating Office Outstanding Student Award will be awarded to Maiknue Moua, a senior communication major from Green Bay.
         Edna Nduru, a senior business finance major from Narobi, Kenya, will receive the Center for International Education Outstanding Student Award.
         Erin Brandt, a senior political science major from Minnetonka, Minn., will receive the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Student Award.
         The College of Business Outstanding Student Award will go to December 2001 management graduate, Jamie Lacke, Cudahy.
         The College of Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Education will be awarded to Sara Doering, a senior Spanish major from Eau Claire.
         Kari Truszynski, a senior nursing major from Franklin, will receive the College of Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Nursing.
         The College of Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Human Sciences and Services will go to Jonathon Janz, a senior kinesiology major from Eau Claire.
         The Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Arts and Sciences will be awarded to 2001 master of history graduate, Patricia Stovey, Holmen.
         The Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Business will be awarded to 2001 master of business administration graduate, Peggy Van Zanten, Eau Claire.
         James Scholze, a candidate for a master of science in teaching history/social sciences degree from Humbird, will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Professional Studies for Education.
         The Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Professional Studies for Human Sciences and Services will go to Tina Pirkl, a candidate for a master of science in communication disorders degree from Blooming Prairie, Minn.
         Susan Kunferman, a candidate for a master of science in nursing degree from Mondovi, will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Professional Studies for Nursing.
         Two scholarship recipients also will be recognized during the luncheon. Junior Rebecca Nelson, a communication disorders major from Cedar, Minn., will receive the $500 Hibbard Scholarship. Junior Nicole Lindner, a business administration major from Greenwood, Minn., will receive the $500 Leonard and Dorellen Haas Scholarship.
         All seniors listed are candidates for graduation in May.
