Class on Coping with Breast Cancer![]()

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire School of Nursing is offering two classes designed to help couples dealing with breast cancer. The classes will run from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 7, at Sacred Heart Hospital in the EMS classroom.
Senior nursing students will be presenting these community education programs as part of a course on caring for families in the community, taught by Dr. Kathryn Anderson, associate professor of family health nursing.
The class on April 30 focuses on "Stressors and Strategies for Couples Dealing with Breast Cancer." The class on May 7 emphasizes "Couple Wellness Strategies." The sessions are free and participants may attend either or both sessions. Couples dealing with breast cancer as well as other family members and friends are welcome.
Pre-registration is not required. These sessions will provide strategies for both partners and will help couples cope together.
