UW-Eau Claire's Annual Spring
Rec Fest to be Held May 3-4

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's University Recreation is hosting its seventh annual Spring Rec Fest Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.
         UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff, students and their families are invited to participate in this event.
         Rec Fest will begin Friday with the Early Bird Golf Tournament at Princeton Valley Golf Course. Teams of four will play a nine-hole, best-ball tournament, with various tee times between noon and 3 p.m. Cost is $20, which includes greens fees, lunch and a t-shirt. In addition, participants can win $10,000 for getting a hole-in-one on the fourth hole or a set of Callaway Big Bertha X-14 stainless steel irons for an ace on the eighth hole.
         Saturday's activity is the Southbound Six Canoe Race along the Chippewa River. There are three heat times for the race - 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cost is $8 per person or $16 per team, which includes a t-shirt.
