Three Free Concerts at UW-Eau Claire![]()
MAILED: April 25, 2002
EAU CLAIRE — One Handed Molly will perform three acoustic concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire May 2-4. The trio's shows will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in The Cabin of Davies Center.
The powerful voice and poetic tales of Sadie James, woven into Derek Stenborg and Gregory Rogers' tapestry of guitar and drums, showcase One Handed Molly as one of alternative rock's most talented young bands. Loved by fans for their honest lyrics, infectious beats and unique sound, One Handed Molly plays at various venues and college campuses all over the country, booking and managing themselves. In addition to playing nearly 100 shows a year, they busk relentlessly all summer at home in New York City's Central Park, drawing large crowds to their acoustic performances.
Playing together since 1997, One Handed Molly has released three full-length albums - "One Handed Molly" (1999), "Truth" (2000) and "Perinthia" (2001) - on their own label, Rolling Ball Productions.
The shows are free and open to all ages; proof of age is required for alcohol purchase.
The Cabin program is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
