UW-Eau Claire University Band
To Perform April 29

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's University Band will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 29, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
        The ensemble, conducted by Dr. Randal Dickerson, assistant professor of music and theatre arts, will perform six works, beginning with "Images" by Robert Sheldon, one of the most performed composers of wind band music during the past decade. Other works to be performed include "Overture for Winds" by Charles Carter, "A Bernstein Tribute" by Clare Grundman and "Manhattan Beach" by John Philip Sousa.
        The University Band is comprised of UW-Eau Claire students from a variety of disciplines within the university looking to play quality repertoire at a high level of performance.
        Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or 1-800-949-UWEC, are $3.75 for the general public; $2.75 for those 62 and older and children 17 and younger; and free for faculty, staff and students with a university ID.
