Jazz Ensemble III
To Perform April 25

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Jazz Ensemble III will perform a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
         The ensemble, under the direction of Robert Baca, associate professor of music and theatre arts, will perform eight works by various composers.
         The concert will begin with John Clayton's "Nice to Meet You" followed by "My Ship" by Ira Gershwin and Kurt Weill, arranged by Gil Evans. Other works to be performed include Duke Ellington's "Misfit Blues," Zweet Zursday" and "Lay-By."
         The concert will feature several student soloists.
         Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or 1-800-949-UWEC, are $3.75 for the general public; $2.75 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and free for students with a university ID.
