Take Back the Night and Flag Project
Events Set for April 18 at UW-Eau Claire

MAILED: April 11, 2002

EAU CLAIRE  Two events designed to bring attention to the issues of sexual violence are slated for April 18 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Take Back the Night rally will begin at 7 p.m. on the Central Campus Mall. The rally promotes awareness of sexual violence, educates the campus community about sexual violence, and encourages and supports survivors of sexual violence.
The Flag Project is designed to bring attention to the fact that every two minutes a woman is raped in America. Participants in the Flag Project will place a flag on the Central Campus Mall every two minutes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in support of sexual assault survivors.
The events are sponsored by the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate and PAVE (Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment).
