Vocal Jazz Ensemble to Perform
Spring Concert April 19

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
         The group, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Newman, associate professor of music and theatre arts, will perform eight selections of toe-tapping favorites beginning with "Take the 'A' Train" by Billy Strayhorn and the Delta Rhythm Boys. Other selections will follow, including "Route 66" by Bobby Troup, "All the Things You Are" by Jerome Kern and "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" by George Cory.
         Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or 1-800-949-UWEC, are $3.75 for the general public; $2.75 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty or staff with a university ID; and free for students with a university ID.
