'Color of Fear' Forum![]()
MAILED: March 12, 2002
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Black and Latino Student Association is holding a forum titled "Color of Fear" at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Towers Hall social lounge.
The forum includes a showing of a documentary on race issues on today's college campuses and will be followed by a discussion.
Dr. William Clifton will facilitate the forum. Clifton is a former UW-Eau Claire student and is currently a facilitator for the Leadership Institute at UW-Madison.
"We put a lot of work into our forum last year and it was such a success that as an organization we decided to make it an annual event," said senior Regena Floyd, vice president of the BLSA. "After the showing of last year's film, students thanked us for providing them with an opportunity to discuss such a controversial issue."
Clifton will present the film "Skin Deep," directed by Frances Reid. "Skin Deep" discusses racial issues for college students and explores the struggles faced by majority and minority students.
Refreshments will be served and the BLSA will make a monetary donation to Clifton for his contribution to the forum. The public is invited.
