EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Delta Psi chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the national Hispanic honor society, has announced its plans for Spanish Week, March 4-8. Unless otherwise noted, all events are free, open to the public and on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
Monday, March 4: 4 p.m. - "Spanish Handcrafts through the Centuries,"
presented by Dr. Roma Hoff, UW-Eau Claire professor emerita, Potawatomi Room, Davies Center.- Tuesday, March 5: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.- Sigma Delta Pi book sale with crafts from the Spanish-speaking world, third floor, Hibbard Humanities Hall.
4 p.m. - Sigma Delta Pi Initiation, Hibbard Penthouse.- Wednesday, March 6: 4 p.m. - "Working in the Peace Corps in Paraguay,"
presented by UW-Madison graduate Laura Gautsch and UW-Eau Claire graduate Eva Kraemer, Badger Room, Davies Center.
7 p.m. -"El Camino de Santiago: Hiking the Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela," presented by UW-Eau Claire students Valerie Mumm, Lee Ann Pignet, Sarah Strauss, Reanna Titus and Theresa Wolf, Badger Room, Davies Center.- Thursday, March 7: 4:30 p.m. - Readers' Theater: "El cepillo de dientes o Naufragos
en el parque de atracciones," a play by Jorge Díaz, presented by UW-Eau Claire students Jenny Allen, Andrea Apodaca, Chris Asuquo, Yander Sanchez, Sarah Schmitt, Lisa Thiel and Nikki Weinfurtner, Wisconsin Room, Davies Center.- Friday, March 8: 6 p.m.- 31st annual Spanish Dinner: Tapas, Música y Postre
(Appetizers, Music and Dessert), Tamarack Room, Davies Center.
