EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Feb. 25. All events are free and open to the public.MONDAY, FEB. 25:
- Senior clarinetist Emily Perrault, Hastings, Minn., and junior bassoonist Kelli Hanson, Duluth, Minn., will perform a joint recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Six works will be performed, including Ludwig van Beethoven's Duo No. 1 for Clarinet and Bassoon, Gabrielle Pierné's Solo de Concert, Op. 35 and Sonatina Based on Hungarian Folk Songs by Ferenc Farkas.
TUESDAY, FEB. 26:
- Senior Sarah Minette, Whitewater, will perform a recital on alto and soprano saxophones at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Senior saxophonists Michael Roesch, Eau Claire, and Jared Ziegler, Elk Mound, and sophomore saxophonist Elizabeth Hartzke, Weyauwega, will provide assistance. Community member Karol Hommen will provide accompaniment on the piano. Various works will be performed, including "Romance" by William Grant Still and "Fantasia" by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
