UW-Eau Claire to Offer Photography
Workshops in March

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will offer two photography-related adult enrichment workshops in March.
         "Photography - SLR Exposure Techniques" will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7. Award winning photographer Christina Smith will discuss variations in exposure, how to choose the right film type and other basic SLR techniques that will enable participants to produce high quality portrait, landscape and action photos. Smith also will review photos and offer pointers and trouble-shooting. An SLR camera and owner's manual are required for the $35 class.
         "Photography - Eye Catching Photos Taken with a Point and Shoot Camera" will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12. In this workshop Smith will share tricks-of-the-trade that help to produce stunning photos with a point-and-shoot camera. The workshop will explore the basic features of a camera, photocomposition techniques and when to use various film types. A camera and owner's manual are required for the $35 class.
         Participants must pre-register for the workshops. To register or obtain more information, call the Continuing Education office at (715) 836-3636. Space is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline is 10 days before the start of the workshop.
