EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education and UW-Extension will sponsor violence prevention workshops titled "Enhancing Skills in Children Birth to Age 11" Feb. 19 and 20.
The workshop, designed for parents and professionals who work with young children, will be held at two sites - Feb. 19 at the Holiday Inn in Mosinee and Feb. 20 at the Best Western Inn on the Park in Madison.
By reviewing printed materials, holding large and small group discussions, and taking part in interactive activities, participants will improve their ability to identify the effects of stress and violence on children and develop strategies to facilitate positive social and emotional development.
