Meteorologist John Jedda to Offer
Workshop at UW-Eau Claire

         EAU CLAIRE  The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education office will offer a four-part workshop titled "Meteorology with John Jedda" in February and March.
         The workshop, open to anyone interested in weather, will run from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 16, 23 and March 2, and from 7-9 p.m. March 4.
         During the workshop, Jedda, a meteorologist for WEAU-TV 13 in Eau Claire, will discuss the seven elements of weather; seasonal effects; thunderstorm, tornado and hurricane development; and weather technology. The last session will include a tour of the WEAU-TV station.
         Workshop participants will receive a copy of "The 2002 Chippewa Valley Pocket Weather Guide," which is filled with local facts, figures and conversions.
         The $75 program fee covers the cost of instruction and materials. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The application deadline is Feb. 6.
