Hmong New Year's Celebration to be
Held at UW-Eau Claire Nov. 10-11

         EAU CLAIRE — The Hmong Mutual Assistance Association and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will sponsor a Hmong New Year's celebration Saturday, Nov. 10, and Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Olson Addition of the McPhee Physical Education Center on the upper campus.
        Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to share in the festivities, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. There also will be a dance on Saturday night beginning at 6 p.m.
        Scheduled events include traditional Hmong ball tossing and cultural shows featuring traditional dance performances, folk songs, crafts, and food vendors.
        Tickets are available through the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association and at the door. Admission to the day programs is $1 for children and $3 or less for adults. Tickets for the dance are $10.
