For the Week of Nov. 12

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Nov. 12. All events are free and open to the public.

TUESDAY, NOV. 13:

• Senior flutist Heidi Olsen, Augusta, will perform a recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of  the Haas Fine Arts Center. She will be assisted by seniors Zach Halmstad, Eau Claire, on piano and Loni Schiel, New Berlin, on cello; juniors Graydon Peterson, Cedar, Minn., on bass and Dave Whitman, Menomonie, on percussion; and sophomore Nathan Abuan, Shoreview, Minn., on violin. Beverly Soll, performing arts and special events coordinator, will provide piano accompaniment. Various works will be performed, including C.P.E. Bach's Sonata in G major and "Mei" by Kazuo Fukushima.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 14:

• The Eau Clarinets will perform a recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The group is comprised of four clarinet players: senior Kristen Novak, Manitowoc; juniors Sarah Goerg, Appleton, and Jennifer Phillips, Appleton; and sophomore Christopher Raddatz, Wisconsin Rapids. Various works will be performed, including "Divertimento" by Alfred Uhl and "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin.
