For Annual Spring Trip to New York![]()
MAILED: Oct. 26, 2001
EAU CLAIRE — President Bush calls for a return to normalcy, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani invites us all to Manhattan, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's art department declares it your duty to join their annual spring trip to New York.
An informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Room 105 of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
The annual trip, scheduled to leave at 4 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2002, and return on Sunday, March 31, is an opportunity for students, faculty and community members to explore art, music, theater, food and the sights of Manhattan and the Burroughs.
The cost of the trip includes round-trip motor coach transportation and seven nights in either double or quad rooms in a mid-town hotel located just a couple blocks from Central Park. Although not a guided tour, there are optional group activities planned most days. Participants can purchase a 7-day pass for unlimited subway and bus rides for $17.
The per-person cost is $500 with student ID (quads), $550 for all others (quads) or $750 for doubles. Tickets are available now at the University Service Center in Davies Center or by phone, 836-3727. Deadline for purchasing tickets is Feb. 18, 2002.
Everyone is invited to the informational meeting. For details, call the UW-Eau Claire art department at 836-3277.
