EAU CLAIRE — The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the
following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Oct. 22. All events
are free and open to the public.
Friday, Oct. 26

Paul Kosower, professor of music, and the American Guild of
Organists will perform a Halloween organ concert at 7 p.m. in Gantner Concert
Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Sunday, Oct. 28
·
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire String Orchestra will
present a fall concert at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, in Gantner Concert Hall of
the Haas Fine Arts Center. The concert will be conducted by Paul Kosower,
professor of music, and will feature several student soloists as well as flute
soloist, Dr. Tim Lane, associate professor of music. The first half of the
concert will include Handel’s Concerto No. 2 in F major and one of Vivaldi’s
finest creations, the Concerto in A Major for String Orchestra. The concert will
conclude with the Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor by J. S. Bach.
