EAU CLAIRE — The
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s third annual Majors Fair is scheduled
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Council Fire Room of Davies
Center.
The goal of
the fair is to provide information on all of UW-Eau Claire’s majors, minors
and pre-professional programs, said Susan Harrison, adviser in Advising and
Academic Testing.
“Faculty,
academic staff, and students associated with the various programs will be on
hand at the Majors Fair to talk with interested students,” Harrison said.
All students
are invited to the fair, although the fair places particular emphasis on
students who have not declared a major and those contemplating a change in major
or adding a minor or other emphasis to their current major.
This year’s
fair will include high school juniors and seniors participating in campus
visits, as well as students who are interested in transferring to UW-Eau Claire
from two-year UW campuses and technical colleges in western Wisconsin, Harrison
said.
The fair,
which is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire’s Advising and Academic Testing, will
provide a relaxed atmosphere to talk with faculty, department chairs, academic
staff, and junior and senior students in a variety of disciplines.
Representatives from Career Services, the Center for International Education,
the National Student Exchange Program and the Center for Service-Learning also
will be on hand to provide information and answer students’ questions.
